Instagram to Test New Repost Feature For the Main Feed
In a recent development, Instagram has announced that it is testing its New Repost Feature For the Main Feed. The feature is not publicly released yet but is being tested on a group of people. In a statement, an Instagram spokesperson said, “We’re exploring the ability to re-share posts in Feed — similar to how you can re-share in Stories — so people can share what resonates with them, and so original creators are credited for their work.” The Repost feature on the main feed was first spotted by Matt Navarra and posted it on Twitter. The Repost tab is seen on the user’s profile page, alongside, posts, Reels, and Tagged posts tabs. As of now, you can not get access to the Repost feature on the platform. The idea of the Repost Feature on Instagram is hugely inspired by the Retweet option. Unlike TikTok’s Repost option, which lets you share content on the feed page, Instagram’s Repost feature will post the content on the feed and will also appear on your profile page.
