So before using it, users need to know that with this new feature, you can post your thoughts on Instagram using text and emojis with a limit of 60 characters. You can add as many Notes in a day as you want to, but only the recent ones will show up in the section. And these notes will appear for 24 hours in the direct messages section of the chosen audience without any notification. You can also mute the notes sent to you if you wish to. 2. Instagram December Update: Candid Stories And Add Yours
Candid Stories

And with this new feature, you can now add Candid stories, which are not preplanned, well-shot, but spontaneous ones. You can take it as a kind of dare to post what you are doing at that particular moment. And these stories are only visible to those who have shared their Candid stories. Once this feature is launched for all users, you can post these candid stories from the stories camera, the multi-author story at the top of the feed, or from the daily notification reminder that will start appearing once you post your first candid story. Under this new update, you will find an upgradation in Add Yours, a feature that was launched last year. With the latest update, you can use Add Yours to invite friends to participate by tapping pass it on when you see a prompt that you feel like sharing with a friend of yours.
3. Instagram December Update: Group Profiles And Collaborative Collections
Group Profiles
A Group Profile is a new way of interacting with your close friends. By creating a Group profile, you will have a shared space where you can post stuff that can be seen by group members only. It is like a small subset of your actual Instagram account where you can have a shared space with selected people of your choice. Earlier, people used to create group chats to have a shared space with their friends where they could talk and share stuff, but now you have a whole profile to for your group. Interesting, Right?
With this upcoming feature, users can “create and join this new type of profile to share posts and stories in a dedicated, shared profile with friends.” These Group profiles content will only be shared between group members and not with the followers. And also, the content will be posted on your combined group profile instead of your own profile. To create a new group profile, you simply need to tap on the + icon and select Group Profiles.
To mention here in the group Profile, instead of Followers and Following, you will find Members and Admins, respectively. And in place of Follow, you will find the Member option. And I think by clicking on this, you can request to become a member.

With Collaborative Collections, you can save posts in a separate saving space where your shared interest can be kept as a collection of all group members.
