Snapchat’s original focus was on person-to-person multimedia — photos and videos — sharing. Now can utilize it for a plethora of purposes, such as sharing and capturing videos, video and audio calling, texting, and creating Bitmoji-like avatars. There is even a special Discovery section that highlights condensed material from well-known publishers and content creators. You can watch short videos for hours on its Spotlight page. You can even create a Public Profile and start sharing your content with your followers. Recently Snapchat has rolled out many features. It has launched Custom Notification Sounds, Bitmoji Backgrounds, Priority Story Replies, and Capture Color, among others. Capturing Color feature lets you use more colors apart from its default color when you capture a snap. Let me walk you through how to change the color of Snapchat’s camera borders.
How to Change the Color of Snapchat’s Camera Borders?
When you capture a video or a snap, you will observe a yellow Snapchat icon on the top middle of your camera, a yellow border, and a yellow shutter icon at the bottom center of your smartphone’s screen. Snapchat has recently rolled out the Capture Color feature that will let you use more colors apart from the default yellow color for the purpose. This feature is currently available only for Snapchat+ members. However, it will be released for everyone soon. Let’s now dive into this stepwise guide on how to change the color of Snapchat’s Camera. Follow this guide only if you are a Snapchat+ member. Step 1: Launch the Snapchat application on your smartphone. Step 2: Go to your Profile by clicking your Bitmoji Selfie icon or the profile icon 👤 from the top left corner of Snapchat’s landing page — camera screen. Step 3: Tap on your Snapchat+ Membership Card. Step 4: Go to Capture Color and tap on it. Step 5: On the Capture Color page, select one of the 7 colors apart from the default Snapchat Yellow. Note: Currently, you can pick one of these colors: Lime Green, Aqua Blue, Crayon Blue, Vivid Purple, Shocking Pink, Candy Red, and Fire Orange. If Snapchat Yellow is your favorite, you can select it back. Step 6: Now go to the landing page, and enjoy your picked color on its border icon and the shutter button. Here you are; you have learned how to change the color of Snapchat’s camera borders in a snap of the fingers.
Wrapping Up
Though only Snapchat+ members can pick a capturing color as of now, it is expected to get public very soon. It is my least favorite on the list of features exclusive to paid members. However, many Snapchatters have welcomed the vibrant view and have already started flaunting it through screen recordings. Overall, it is, to some extent, an additional feature to get your Snapchat customized. That is all about how to change the color of Snapchat‘s camera borders. Let me know what you feel about this not-so-productive feature. If you are not a Snapchat+ member, I would recommend you to wait for a while; I hope it will be public within a month or two. Till then, keep surfing Path of EX to know more about upcoming features of Snapchat and much more trending stuff.
